Topic: An ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System as an Organizational Process Asset
With the realization that some organizational cultures don’t recognize that a quality management system is an Organizational Process Asset (OPA) and with a dearth of materials on the actual use of an ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System (QMS) to support project management, Chad developed the informative presentation that you will hear in order to help Project Managers provide the impetus to use the ISO 9001:2015 standard and its sections as elements of a successful project management methodology.
The presentation theme reviews the salient points of an ISO 9001:2015 QMS, their interrelation with the PMBOK® knowledge areas, and how they can be used in developing and maintaining a project management methodology. Additionally, the sections of the standard can be used as building blocks and tools to accomplish the objectives of projects within an organizations project portfolio.
Chad is a “roll-your-sleeves-up” multicultural leader who motivates, trains, and encourages team development through Covey Leadership principles. Currently as a consultant to the NYS Chief Portfolio Office in Albany, NY, he provides project management consulting for New York State’s Information Technology Services transition to a government wide technology service organization.
As an organized self-motivator with a talent for quality management and an ability for process improvement through methodical project management, he takes pride in quantifiable cost savings, customer satisfaction and improved organizational productivity.
A native New Yorker, Chad was born and raised in western New York, close to the Grand Canyon of the East, the famous Letchworth State Park. After studying in Germany and graduating from Schiller International University with an BBA in International Business, Chad worked for Bausch & Lomb, Inc in Rochester NY. He continued his studies in Madrid Spain and obtained an MBA in Information Technology. He remained in Spain for the next 15 years running a small multinational ecommerce company.
He enjoys scuba diving, swimming with the Manatees in Florida, public speaking, traveling and enjoying three course meals with a bottle of Rioja in a beach front restaurant on the Mediterranean coast of Spain.
